Family Harvest food giveaway program set for Aug. 27 in Sunnyvale

Family Harvest is hosting a food giveaway on Aug. 27, starting at 4:15 p.m., at the Columbia Middle School parking lot. Participants will receive approximately 100 lbs. of food and should bring reusable bags, a cart, and register if they are new. Additionally, on Sept. 12, the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety will conduct a sobriety checkpoint to promote public safety by evaluating drivers for sobriety and vehicle safety. Additionally, AACI has awarded the Gordon N. Chan Leadership Award to Patrick Ahrens for his advocacy work in underserved communities.
