Blank Street, a Brooklyn-based coffee and matcha chain with seven Boston-area locations, will occupy the former Twin Donuts site at 501 Cambridge Street in Allston. The company will begin renovations in late 2025 and targets a late spring 2026 grand opening. The restoration will preserve and incorporate the landmark Twin Donuts neon sign into Blank Street branding. The new location will offer exclusive products that pay tribute to Twin Donuts. Twin Donuts opened in 1955 and closed in March after 70 years, citing high costs and a slowdown in business.
