"We recognise there are still areas across the UK without an Aldi store,"
"Our expansion plans are designed to address these gaps and bring Aldi's high-quality, affordable food to more customers."
"We've always believed that access to high-quality affordable food is a right, not a privilege, and that's why it's our mission to make this a reality for customers up and down the UK,"
Aldi plans to open 40 new stores across the UK in 2026 with a £370 million investment aimed at expanding access to low-cost groceries. New locations will include Southam, Hastings and Amersham, targeting communities without a current Aldi presence. The retailer operates around 1,060 UK stores and has a longer-term ambition to reach 1,500. The 2026 investment forms part of a wider £1.6 billion two-year programme to open 80 new stores. Recent 2025 openings included Eastbourne, Fulham Broadway and Deeside. The rollout targets network gaps and reflects confidence in the value-focused UK grocery market.
