"It's called the Wait App, and it's online at thewaitapp.com The app was created by an unidentified developer and is not affiliated with the Irvine-based food chain. It uses crowdsourcing to track both drive-thru and walk-in wait times at the new restaurants in Antioch, Lebanon and Murfreesboro, all in suburban Nashville. At 11:30 a.m. CST on Tuesday, Dec. 22, the app showed drive-thru wait times of 27-36 minutes and 23-44 minutes for walk-in diners."
"Posts on Facebook and Reddit suggest 10-15 minutes for the drive-thru are more common. An industry tracker called QSR Magazine tracks drive-thru wait times in seconds for giant chains. Taco Bell, with more than 7,500 drive-thrus, had the lowest average service time of 256.81 seconds - about 4 minutes and 17 seconds - in its most recent report."
"With the three Tennessee openings, which happened on Dec. 1 and 3, In-N-Out is up to 431 locations in 10 states: California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Texas, Colorado, Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Tennessee. In-N-Out is in the midst of a major expansion in the Volunteer State, where next year it is planning to open its eastern headquarters in Franklin, another Nashville suburb. Last summer owner and president Lynsi Snyder announced plans to move to Tennessee."
In-N-Out opened three restaurants in Tennessee on Dec. 1 and Dec. 3, marking the chain's arrival east of the Mississippi River. A crowdsourced Wait App reported drive-thru waits of 27–36 minutes and walk-in waits of 23–44 minutes at 11:30 a.m. CST on Dec. 22 for locations in Antioch, Lebanon and Murfreesboro. Social posts suggest 10–15 minute drive-thru waits are more common, while QSR Magazine reports much faster averages for large chains like Taco Bell. The openings bring In-N-Out to 431 locations across 10 states, and the chain plans an eastern headquarters in Franklin as leadership relocates to Tennessee.
