Zelda Movie Gets First Official Set Photos Following Leak
"Through the Nintendo Today app, Nintendo released the first official pictures of the two primary cast members, Benjamin Evan Ainsworth and Bo Bragason, in costume as Link and Princess Zelda, respectively. Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Link in The Legend of Zelda. Ainsworth's best-known role to date prior to this film was lending his voice to Disney's live-action remake of Pinocchio. He has also appeared in Netflix's adaptation of The Sandman, as well as the streamer's horror show, The Haunting of Bly Manor."

Filming for a live-action The Legend of Zelda movie is underway in New Zealand, with the first official costumed photos of the two leads released via the Nintendo Today app. Benjamin Evan Ainsworth plays Link and previously voiced Pinocchio and appeared in The Sandman and The Haunting of Bly Manor. Bo Bragason plays Princess Zelda and has credits including Three Girls, The Jetty, Renegade Nell, and a co-starring role in the 2024 film The Radleys. Dichen Lachman was reportedly spotted on set as Impa, though that casting remains unconfirmed. Shigeru Miyamoto is producing, Wes Ball directs, Derek Connolly wrote the script, and the film is scheduled to open May 7, 2027.
