"Like the themes of the film itself, Showalter and music supervisor Marcus Tamkin sought to celebrate mothers and their impact across generations; so, Showalter selected tracks that his mother showed to him in his youth, reimagined by the artists he later shared with her. That includes Fleet Foxes' cover of Elliott Smith's "Angel in the Snow," which was released as a single back in November, as well as Sharon Van Etten's version of The Pretenders' "2000 Miles"."
