Gabe Polsky received a tip from producer Doug DeLuca about several South American Indigenous tribes holding ancient prophecies. The prophecies foretold that when the world burned and waters turned to poison, a white-faced, blue-eyed man would arrive to unite tribes and help save the planet. Tribal elders later identified Patrick McCollum as that man. Patrick McCollum is a Northern California resident whose career included international peace facilitation, prison chaplaincy to Charles Manson and the Menendez brothers, jewelry design for British royalty, and kung fu mastery. McCollum was approached at the 2013 Maha Kumbh Mela by Tairona elders who told him they had determined he was the prophesied man; he initially resisted the identification.
