"Darth Vader (born Anakin Skywalker) is the grandfather of Kylo Ren (born Ben Solo). Anakin Skywalker was the father of Leia Organa and Luke Skywalker. Leia Organa and Han Solo are the parents of Ben Solo, who becomes Kylo Ren. Starting on April 29, the Kylo Ren meet-and-greet character will leave Galaxy's Edge and head over to Star Wars Launch Bay in Tomorrowland for photo ops replacing Darth Vader once he moves to Black Spire Outpost."
Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland will expand its timeline to include storylines from The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi starting April 29. Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Princess Leia meet-and-greet characters will appear at the Anaheim park. The timeline shift moves the setting roughly three decades earlier than the previous Kylo Ren–centered story in Black Spire Outpost. Imagineering and Lucasfilm adjusted the timeline because Darth Vader and Kylo Ren never coexisted in-universe. Kylo Ren's meet-and-greet will move to Star Wars Launch Bay in Tomorrowland for photo opportunities when Darth Vader arrives in Galaxy's Edge.
