The iconic James Bond franchise is undergoing a significant transition as producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli relinquish their creative control. A new joint venture has been formed among Amazon, MGM Studios, and Wilson and Broccoli to manage the franchise's intellectual property rights. This marks the first time in the series' history since 1962 that the Broccoli family does not hold full creative authority. Broccoli expressed her gratitude for her time in the role, while Amazon's Mike Hopkins stated their commitment to perpetuating the Bond legacy for future audiences.
My life has been dedicated to maintaining and building upon the extraordinary legacy that was handed to Michael and me by our father, producer Cubby Broccoli. I have had the honour of working closely with four of the tremendously talented actors who have played 007 and thousands of wonderful artists within the industry.
We are honoured to continue this treasured heritage and look forward to ushering in the next phase of the legendary 007 for audiences around the world.
