'Wednesday' Season 2 Carves Out a Darker, Deeper Nevermore
Briefly

The latest season of Wednesday deepens its gothic charm as the title character confronts both old and new foes, unveiling further mysteries at Nevermore Academy. Production took place in Ireland, with Ashford Studios and locations like Dublin providing fresh backdrops while maintaining the series' signature eerie aesthetic. The production design incorporates themes of dead technology and old machinery, alongside references to Edgar Allan Poe, particularly through raven motifs that infuse the overall visual style, creating a blend of the classic Addams Family elements with contemporary twists.
This year, from my point of view, is very much trying to deal with the sort of dead technology and old machinery that comes through in episodes.
Raven motifs crept into the production design at every turn: Nevermore Academy's front gates, Principal Weems' office, and the supernatural elements are all influenced by Edgar Allan Poe.
