"Filming on " Spider-Man: Brand New Day," arguably one of the most anticipated films of 2026, has been halted after its star, Tom Holland, suffered an injury on the UK set. The Hollywood Reporter, which was first reported by The Sun, said that Holland has a "mild concussion" after the incident that happened last Friday. A production source told Deadline that Holland is taking a break from filming in Glasgow "out of precaution," but should resume filming in a few days."
"THR added that Sony, the studio behind the movie, is set to meet on Monday to determine how the production will continue. While Holland could be off the set for days, he was still able to host a charity event at Christie's auction house in London alongside his family and fiancée, Zendaya, according to photos of the event posted to social media. Reps for Sony and Holland did not respond to a request for comment from Business Insider."

Holland also told THR that he was a bit hesitant to begin filming "Brand New Day" as he wanted the film to live up to expectations."
