"In 2025, James Gunn brought the world his take on Superman, and the next movie to come from the relaunched DC Studios will feature another Kryptonian - Kara Zor-El, otherwise known as Supergirl. Audiences got their first look at Milly Alcock's Supergirl at the end of Superman, after Superman's cousin crashed into the Fortress of Solitude following what seemed to be a pretty epic rager."
"Before Superman, Alcock's biggest role was as the younger Rhaenyra Targaryen in the first season of House of the Dragon (she was succeeded by Emma D'Arcy, following a time jump). She also starred in the 2025 Netflix limited series Sirens, and will be appearing in the upcoming black comedy Thumb. The cast of Supergirl also includes Matthias Schoenaerts and Eve Ridley, with David Krumholtz and Emily Beecham on board to play Kara's parents."
Milly Alcock stars as Kara Zor-El / Supergirl, introduced at the end of 2025's Superman after crashing into the Fortress of Solitude. The first-look trailer, set to Blondie's "Call Me," shows a hungover, party-hardened Kara causing intergalactic mayhem while confronting questions about her past and differing views from Superman. Craig Gillespie directs the standalone adventure, which highlights Krypto as a chaotic superdog and includes a cameo from Jason Momoa as Lobo. Supporting cast members include Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, and Emily Beecham as Kara's parents. Supergirl opens in theaters June 26, 2026.
