Brie Larson recorded a video at the grand opening of Super Nintendo World in Orlando announcing she will voice Rosalina. Larson said she was hiding inside a warp pipe and confirmed the film title as Super Mario Galaxy. Nintendo and Universal revealed the casting during a Nintendo Direct that also debuted the first trailer. The trailer introduces Benny Safdie as the voice of Bowser Jr. and includes numerous Easter eggs for Mario fans. Larson has shown longstanding fandom for Super Mario Galaxy and previously participated in a Switch ad campaign.
