The 2026 Sundance Film Festival in January presents 90 feature films during the festival's final year in Park City. The slate was chosen from 4,255 submissions and features documentaries on Brittney Griner, Nelson Mandela, Salman Rushdie, Courtney Love and Billie Jean King. Forty percent of the features are by first-time directors. The program pairs star-driven narrative features (including Natalie Portman, Jenna Ortega, Seth Rogen, Channing Tatum, Olivia Colman and Ethan Hawke) with restorations and auteur returns. Olivia Wilde directs The Invite; Judd Apatow chronicles Maria Bamford's mental-health journey; Gregg Araki presents a restoration of Mysterious Skin and a new film. Charli XCX appears in three films, including a mockumentary she produced and stars in.
