"The show's producers on Tuesday revealed more details about Sunday night's big performances of the Oscar-nominated songs "Golden," from "Kpop Demon Hunters," and "I Liked to You," from "Sinners." Miles Caton and Raphael Saadiq will be on hand for the "Sinners" moment, which aims to explore the role music plays in the film with the help of Copeland, blues musicians Eric Gales, Buddy Guy and Christone "Kingfish" Ingram."
"Rei Ami, EJAE and Audrey Nuna are also set to perform "Golden" around a broader showcase of the folklore behind the animated sensation, including Korean instrumentalists and dance."
The 98th Academy Awards will feature performances of two Oscar-nominated songs on March 15. "I Liked to You" from "Sinners" will showcase Miles Caton and Raphael Saadiq alongside Misty Copeland, blues musicians Eric Gales, Buddy Guy, and Christone "Kingfish" Ingram, plus actors Jayme Lawson and Li Jun Li, with additional performances by Brittany Howard, Bobby Rush, Shaboozey, and Alice Smith. "Golden" from "Kpop Demon Hunters" will feature Rei Ami, EJAE, and Audrey Nuna performing around Korean instrumentalists and dance. Josh Groban's specific role remains to be announced. The ceremony airs on ABC and Hulu at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT, hosted by Conan O'Brien.
