Millie Bobby Brown and husband Jake Bongiovi revealed on Aug. 20 that they welcomed a baby girl through adoption. Brown previously said on March 10 that she planned to become a mother, noting her early wish to have children and that her parents had her young. Brown explained that establishing her acting and producing career is important while also prioritizing starting a family. Both Brown and Bongiovi come from families of four and expect a large family. Brown stated that adopting a child feels no different to her than having a biological child.
"I'm still really young but my mom actually had her first child at 21 and my dad was 19," she told hosts Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes and Will Arnett. "SinceI was a baby, I told my mom, like, 'Baby dolls.' I wanted to be a mom just like the way my mom was to me."
"Jake knows how important it is to me," she said. "Like, of course I want to focus on really establishing myself as an actor and as a producer, but I also find it's so important to start a family for me personally."
"I really want a big family. I'm one of four, he's one of four, so it is definitely in our future," she said. "I don't see having your own child as really any different as in adopting." "For me, my home is full of love for anyone and anything," she continued. "So that is kind of where we stand... We're wanting to start a family and it doesn't matter in what way or when, but it will happen for sure."
