Martin Short accidentally cut into Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco's main wedding cake roughly an hour before it was to be presented. Short and Steve Martin were near the cake and, after having a cocktail, Short invited Martin to take a slice and cut part of the cake. Guests in his group reacted loudly when they realized the cake was the couple's. Short tried to patch the cut with a fork, then the chef repaired and angled the cake for photos. Gomez later confirmed the story on Instagram, saying Marty cut their cake first.
