During a 35th-anniversary Home Alone screening in Long Beach, Macaulay Culkin revealed he legally changed his middle name from Carson to Macaulay Culkin, resulting in the full name Macaulay Macaulay Culkin Culkin. The change followed a 2018 poll on his satirical website Bunny Ears and was completed in 2019. He joked about alternative middle-name options and referenced his brother Kieran and his Oscar. Culkin said the change enables playful responses in public. He uses Mack privately, and his fiancée Brenda Song described their relatively antisocial lifestyle compared with their children’s busier social calendar.
