Johnny Knoxville has reached his limit for head trauma and will avoid any stunts that could cause additional concussions. Multiple concussions and a serious brain injury sustained during filming of Jackass Forever have prompted a break from head-impact stunts. Jackass began as an MTV series in 2000 and has involved decades of brutal physical punishment. Knoxville remains willing to endure other bodily injuries and describes filming as grueling for the cast while being fun for him. Some returning cast members for Jackass 5 remain unconfirmed, with Bam Margera present only via archival footage. Jackass 5 opens June 26, 2026.
