Joe Locke beat his Heartstopper co-star Kit Connor to the award, as well as Time Bandits star Lisa Kudrow, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew actor Jude Law, Goosebumps: The Vanishing star David Schwimmer, Malory Towers actress Danya Griver and The Primrose Railway Children actor Nina Toussaint-White."

He defeated his co-star Kit Connor and other notable actors including Jude Law and David Schwimmer. Heartstopper was nominated for three Emmy categories and won Outstanding Writing for a Young Teen Series for the fourth episode of season three, 'Journey,' which addresses Charlie's treatment for anorexia and OCD. Creator Alice Oseman collected the writing award. The series will conclude with a film, Heartstopper Forever, releasing on Netflix this summer, following characters Charlie and Nick navigating a long-distance relationship as Nick attends university.
