IndieWire Honors Winter 2025 will spotlight filmmakers, artisans, and performers with interviews ahead of the Los Angeles ceremony. Director Maggie Kang visited the National Museum of Korea before her film's release and returned after its premiere to find attendance had surged. Museum pins depicting the tiger and magpie sold out after the film depicted those animals as spirits tied to the antagonist. The museum director personally praised Kang and expressed pride in the film. Kang, born in South Korea and raised in the United States, sought Korean acceptance for the film and felt affirmed by the museum's response.
