Here's The First Live-Action "Moana" Trailer Vs. The Scenes From The Animated Movie

Animation is such a beautiful art form, and I think these live-action remakes are unnecessary. Never have I decided to rewatch a live-action movie over the OG original (101 Dalmatians starring Glenn Close, excluded). That being said, Disney has done a ton of these live-action remakes recently."

Examples include Lilo & Stitch (which made just over $1 billion worldwide), The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and The Jungle Book. Moana is receiving a live-action adaptation with newcomer Catherine Laga'aia cast as Moana and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson reprising Maui. Catherine Laga'aia cites Samoan heritage and honor in representing Pacific Island peoples. Disney unveiled a teaser trailer showing scenes from the animated movie alongside Catherine in action.
