"He was the greatest American architect. He was incredibly ambitious and headstrong and visionary. He also was a flawed person, and his life was filled with triumph and tragedy,"
"This is a big gap in American popular culture that we don't have a feature film about Frank Lloyd Wright."
"The murders at Taliesin are a critical moment in Wright's path,"
"They're an essential part of the story, and they are the inciting incident that propels him toward coming to Los Angeles."
Galisteo Media struck a licensing deal with the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation to produce a feature film about Frank Lloyd Wright. The film will concentrate on the 1920s when Wright relocated to Los Angeles and developed innovative residential designs using textured concrete blocks known as Mayan revival architecture. The 1914 Taliesin murders are presented as the inciting incident that propelled Wright west. Wright's Los Angeles years prompted a reinvention that led to landmark projects and influenced his later work, including Fallingwater and the Guggenheim. Galisteo cofounders have owned and lived in the Ennis House since 2019.
