Exclusive: Cynthia Erivo Teases Elphaba's "Womanly" Moment In 'Wicked: For Good'
"To come back in this way was quite lovely,"
"Everyone thinks that you're wicked,"
"I know. But I'm actually just... hungry."
"Let the history books say what they will. I didn't just fly... I ran on Dunkin'."
"I really love working with him, and I think he loves working with me, and so when we get a chance, there is a connective tissue that's easy to be in,"
Cynthia Erivo released her second studio album, I Forgive You, starred in Jesus Christ Superstar at the Hollywood Bowl, and completed a memoir titled Simply More ahead of Wicked: For Good's Nov. 21 premiere. She filmed a Wicked-themed Dunkin' commercial reuniting with Jonathan Bailey that features Wicked Green Matcha, Wicked Pink Refresher, and pink-and-green Munchkins in a matching tin. The ad stages a rehearsal of a cut scene where Fiyero and Elphaba share flirtation and a near-kiss, ending with a playful Defying Gravity nod: "I didn't just fly... I ran on Dunkin'." Re-teaming with Bailey reflected their easy, connective chemistry.
