""It certainly feels like a new chapter, in many ways, for all of us," Dockery said. "And personally for myself, it's a new chapter. I'm very excited.""
""Yes, into the 'Downton' family!""
""We've become this family and, you know, our friendship continues beyond 'Downton,'" she said. "No one has experienced this bond that we have. It's really, really special.""
""I refer to myself as a widow, yes," Dockery said. "We were engaged, and married at heart, and so I do consider myself a widow.""
Michelle Dockery, known for her portrayal of Lady Mary Crawley, is pregnant and expecting her first child with husband Jasper Waller-Bridge. She described the pregnancy as a new chapter and expressed excitement. Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale serves as the third and final film in the series and follows the Crawley family into the 1930s, premiering in theaters on Sept. 12. Dockery said she feels very lucky and grateful to have been part of the series for a long time and emphasized that cast friendships continue beyond Downton. Dockery previously was engaged to John Dineen, who died in 2015, and she considers herself a widow. She displayed her baby bump at the London premiere on Sept. 3 in a power blue gown.
