Dave Filoni will serve as president of Lucasfilm while continuing as chief creative officer. Lynwen Brennan will serve as co-president. Kathleen Kennedy will step down as president and return to producing films full-time, remaining a producer on The Mandalorian & Grogu and Starfighter. Filoni has worked at Lucasfilm since 2005 and is showrunner on the second season of Ahsoka and a writer/producer on The Mandalorian & Grogu. Star Wars will return to theatrical releases with The Mandalorian & Grogu on May 22 and Shawn Levy's Starfighter scheduled for 2027. Kennedy served as president since 2012 and was handpicked by George Lucas. Filoni credited Kennedy and George Lucas for shaping his storytelling.
