Joke Zero, a comedy-focused production company founded by filmmaker Brandon Tamburri, is expanding into all-rights distribution with its first acquisition, On a String, the Tribeca prize-winning comedy and feature directorial debut of comedian Isabel Hagen, who also stars. On a String won Best Screenplay in a U.S. Narrative Feature at Tribeca 2025 and will be released in theaters later this year, beginning with a seven-day limited run in New York City before expanding into other major markets. Joke Zero previously produced Plan B and is partnering with private equity firm MAT Capital to fund distribution and pursue high-concept, star-driven and festival titles while prioritizing unique comedic voices.
