A Miss Piggy feature film is in early development at Disney. Jennifer Lawrence confirmed that she and Emma Stone will produce the project and that Cole Escola is writing the screenplay. Lawrence teased that she and Stone will likely co-star and noted they have not yet appeared in a film together. Miss Piggy was created by puppeteer Frank Oz in 1974 and remains one of the most notable Muppet characters alongside Kermit the Frog, but she has not yet headlined her own feature film. Cole Escola won the 2025 Tony Award for Best Actor in a Play and has several upcoming screen roles.
