Cinema Eye Honors launched its 19th annual celebrations with the first round of 2026 honorees, nominees, and longlists. Announcements include a 16-film Audience Choice Prize Longlist, Unforgettables Honorees, nominees in five Broadcast categories, and an annual Shorts List spotlighting ten documentary short films. The Unforgettables list recognizes seven on-camera collaborators from the year's best documentaries. Named Unforgettables include Noam Shuster-Eliassi, Andrea Gibson, Megan Falley, Seymour Hersh, Sara Shahverdi, Pasha Talankin, Jacinda Ardern, and Fatma Hassouna. Andrea Gibson and Fatma Hassouna received posthumous honors; Gibson died of cancer in July and Hassouna was killed with family in an Israeli airstrike in April.
