"Note to self: Despite the Teddy bears and kids clothes in the gift shop and the inflatable guitar they gave Mabel on arrival... Hard Rock Hotel, Orlando is not a family resort."
"When Mabel woke up jet lagged and a bit confused (and still a bit unwell!) at 3:30 and started crying, which obviously, as very tired parents, we were doing everything we could to calm her down... they sent a security guard...a SECURITY GUARD... to knock on our door and issue us with a 'first warning,'"
"Luckily, Mabel calmed down very quickly afterwards and went back to sleep," Carrie continued. "But I've been awake ever since wondering what would have happened had she kept crying. Second/ third warning = what? Removed from the hotel? With a 22 month old?"
Carrie Hope Fletcher and husband Joel Montague traveled to Universal Studios, staying at Hard Rock Hotel Orlando with their 22-month-old daughter, Mabel. Mabel awoke at 3:30 a.m., jet-lagged and slightly unwell, and began crying while her parents attempted to soothe her. Hotel security knocked on their door and issued a first warning about the noise. Mabel soon calmed and returned to sleep, but the family remained concerned about potential further warnings or removal. Carrie has a long West End and social media career and recently starred as Jovie in the 2025 West End production of Elf opposite her husband.
