Henry Golding began working in a barber shop at about 14–15 years old, sweeping and cleaning hair for pocket money and earning roughly 24 pounds a day. Hairdressing became his first real passion. He later became a globetrotting travel presenter for outlets including BBC and ESPN, gaining exposure through video segments. A Hollywood director contacted him via Facebook with a life-changing role. He landed the lead role of Nicholas Young in Crazy Rich Asians, which grossed nearly $240 million worldwide in 2018, and subsequently starred in several major films and series.
"I started in a barber shop when I was 14, 15 years old just cleaning hair as a job for pocket money. I remember a day's work was like 24 pounds,"
