All About Catherine O'Hara's Husband and 2 Sons
"Catherine O'Hara's decades-long marriage was a match made in Hollywood. O'Hara and husband Robert W. "Bo" Welch III first connected on the set of the 1988 cult classic, "Beetlejuice." O'Hara portrayed memorable character Delia Deetz while her future husband stayed behind the camera as a production designer."
"Though his name is less familiar than his wife's, Welch has been lauded for his work in the entertainment industry. He has four Oscar nominations for production design for "The Color Purple," "A Little Princess," "The Birdcage" and "Men in Black.""
"O'Hara was good at many things, including keeping her sons out of the public eye. It's virtually impossible to find images of them. According to Hello!, the boys joined their parents at the premiere of "The Cat in the Hat" in 2003, which was directed by Welch. Other than that outing, they have not appeared publicly with their parents, and they don't have public social media accounts."
Catherine O'Hara met production designer Robert W. "Bo" Welch III on the set of Beetlejuice in 1988, where she played Delia Deetz and he worked behind the camera. The couple married in 1992 and had two sons, Matthew (1994) and Luke (1997). Both sons have worked behind the scenes in set dressing and construction and contributed to Schitt's Creek, which earned O'Hara her first Emmy Award for outstanding lead actress in a comedy series. Welch earned four Oscar nominations for production design on The Color Purple, A Little Princess, The Birdcage and Men in Black and later directed O'Hara in Netflix's A Series of Unfortunate Events. The sons have remained private, with a single public appearance at The Cat in the Hat premiere in 2003 and no public social media accounts. O'Hara died at age 71. "It's great to play a realized mother because it is one of the most important roles in life."
