Alan Cumming has been named host of the EE BAFTA Film Awards, scheduled for 22 February 2026 at the Royal Festival Hall. Cumming previously hosted the BAFTA TV awards and The Traitors US, and succeeds a recent roster of varied presenters. BAFTA longlists will be released on 9 January and nominations on 27 January. BAFTA underwent an overhaul of its voting membership after the #BaftasSoWhite controversy of 2020 and has reported achieving nearly all five-year membership diversity targets across minority ethnic groups, deaf, disabled, neurodivergent, and LGB+ members.
