"Ruari Cannon and the Old Vic have reached a mutually agreed out-of-court settlement, the precise terms of which are confidential. This settlement has been agreed without any admission of liability, having regard to the costs and impact on all parties of continuing litigation."
"Spacey, who won Oscars for American Beauty and The Usual Suspects, was dropped from the TV drama House of Cards and removed from the film All the Money in the World after he was first accused of sexual assault in 2017."
"Lawyers for the three men asked the high court on Tuesday to allow them to rely on accusations by seven others, one dating back to the 1970s. They said all three cases should be heard together rather than at separate trials."
Ruari Cannon, an actor at the Old Vic during Kevin Spacey's tenure as artistic director, reached an out-of-court settlement with the theatre over alleged sexual assaults. Cannon claimed Spacey assaulted him at a Savoy hotel after-party and at the Old Vic's theatre bar. The settlement was reached without admission of liability. Spacey has denied all allegations. He was previously dropped from House of Cards and removed from All the Money in the World following 2017 accusations. Cannon continues suing Spacey directly at London's high court. Two other accusers from Spacey's 2023 criminal trial, where he was acquitted, are also pursuing civil cases. Lawyers for all three men requested the high court allow evidence from seven additional accusers and consolidate the cases into one trial, with proceedings scheduled for November.
