"Presented in partnership with IndieWire will also be a special three-panel series called "Behind Their Lens," focusing on directors, producers, and artisans respectively. Confirmed directors are Mary Bronstein ("If I Had Legs I'd Kick You"), HIKARI ("Rental Family"), Leslye Headland ("The Acolyte"), and Eva Victor ("Sorry, Baby"). The producers panel will feature Ellen Goldsmith-Vein ("Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere"), Debra Hayward ("Good Grief"), Riva Marker ("Reality"), and Alison Owen ("Back to Black")."
The 28th SCAD Savannah Film Festival runs October 25 to November 1, 2025. The festival opens with David Freyne's Eternity, features Craig Brewer's Song Sung Blue as the Centerpiece, and closes with Rian Johnson's Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery. Gala screenings include films by Yorgos Lanthimos, David Michôd, Kristen Stewart, Guillermo del Toro, Chloé Zhao, Bradley Cooper, Noah Baumbach, Park Chan-Wook, Joachim Trier, Jafar Panahi, Kleber Mendonça Filho, and Oliver Laxe among others. A special three-panel series presented with IndieWire, Behind Their Lens, will focus on directors, producers, and artisans with confirmed participants across filmmaking roles.
