Justice Omoruyi, an 18-year-old mechanical engineering student at City College, embraces thrifting as a captivating journey of discovery. Captured in SoHo photographing with friends for CunyOutfits, he emphasizes the fun of showcasing the diverse styles of City University of New York students. Omoruyi's choices, inspired by the resale market experience at places like the Grand Bazaar, reflect his individuality and appreciation for the stories behind each thrifted item, connecting him to various histories from around the country.
Mr. Omoruyi shared, "What I like most about thrifting is the journey some items take before I find them. I could thrift a shirt from Texas, or Jersey, because someone may have moved here and decided to give it away."
Omoruyi's style reflects his passion for thrift shopping, showcasing a unique combination of personal taste and history with each piece he selects. He noted, "We go around the city, take pictures and just have fun."
