"choosing to reject the relentless pace of urban life for a sanctuary that embraces mindful design. With a poignant nod to the legacy of HfG Ulm, the brand skillfully utilises seclusion as a counterpoint to digital overstimulation. Here, design is not simply an aesthetic; it becomes a visceral experience, forged through a compelling labour process that respects the integrity of materials and celebrates the rhythm of manual craftsmanship."
"The Augsburg workspace is a fluid transition of environments, from workshop to office, through the sewing atelier, and eventually into the garden. This ethos was seamlessly transported to Berlin for the AW26 unveiling. The ingenious set design, conceptualised as an independent, circular island, dissolved traditional hierarchy, removing all seating and instilling dynamic movement. Within this segmented circle, guests were immersed in three unique realities: a serene mountain landscape, a functional workshop, and an inviting office/living room, furnished with USM Haller's iconic modular systems."
OBS presented the Fall/Winter 2026 collection '...auf uns ist Verlass!' at Berlin Fashion Week, foregrounding Augsburg's provincial seclusion and manual craft. The brand emphasized mindful design, referencing HfG Ulm and using material integrity and labour-intensive processes. The Augsburg workspace concept moved fluidly from workshop to office to garden and was recreated in Berlin. A circular, seatless set dissolved hierarchy and instigated dynamic movement across three staged realities: mountain landscape, functional workshop, and office/living room furnished with USM Haller. Models traversed the rotating island, connecting environments and rethinking the '8-8-8 rule' toward stripped-back functional uniformity.
