"I'm Danilo Garrido, a Chilean photographer, visual artist, and illustrator based in Santiago. My work explores the body, identity, intimacy, and the surreal, often blending theatrical and performative elements. In this editorial, bodies are transformed into objects within a staged space. They do not act: they are arranged, manipulated, offered as part of a composition where the human becomes utilitarian and the utilitarian, intimate. I seek something visceral, where the body itself loses its usual role to create a surreal and imperfect narrative."
"The relationship between bodies, garments, and accessories builds images that oscillate between the absurd, the erotic, and the delicately theatrical. Through minimal gestures and suspended choreographies, a logic emerges where function loses its meaning and meaning itself becomes image. The series proposes a visual game in which roles dissolve: no one fully dominates, no one fully yields. What remains are suspended scenes where desire, presence, and strangeness contain one another, revealing the poetic power of the fragile, the imperfect, and the unresolved."
