Jen Andrews-Cater's Instagram feed showcases her take on minimal styling, emphasizing chic and timeless pieces. For the upcoming spring, she plans to pivot towards items like bowler bags and cinched blazers, while stepping back from trends such as crossbody bags and super-oversized silhouettes. Her approach includes infusing softer colors into her wardrobe, moving away from strictly neutral palettes. She encourages personal expression in style, reminding followers to embrace what they love while navigating seasonal changes in trends.
For handbags, I'm not currently into shoulder or crossbody bags despite their convenience. I love the look, sophistication, and polish a bowler or east-west bag silhouette gives to a look. And with so many designers and brands, acknowledging both of these bag trend silhouettes, you can find one at virtually any price point.
I've really been craving an hourglass or cinched-waist blazer/coat and moving away from super-oversize blazer silhouettes. I won't be getting rid of them, just giving them a little pause.
Come spring, I won't be wearing such serious neutral color palettes all of the time (grays, blacks, beiges). Instead, I'll be incorporating some soft colors into my neutral minimal outfits. Think soft pink, pale yellow, and baby blue. Mix that in with some transparent fabrics, and it's a double win.
