"The end of summer is always a good occasion to go for a swim. This time, however, we found ourselves under the scorching sun but with no water at allthe place turned out to be abandoned. Cracked concrete, tiles falling off, vegetation forcing its roots into every gap, rust everywhere. This swimming pool, built in the 1970s, has clearly left its glory days behind."
"I am a fashion photographer.I grew up on MTV and Fashion TV of the 80s and 90s my passion for the fashion and music of those decades permeates every project I create.I am inspired by the charismatic energy of Iggy Pop, neon colours, the iconic style of David Bowie, and the dark electronic music of Depeche Mode. I specialise in photo and video production for the fashion industry from editorials, lookbooks, and campaigns, to polaroid sessions for models, as well as videos for runway shows."
Gabriela Kajpust photographed, filmed, and produced a KALTBLUT menswear editorial featuring model Kamil Ostrowski wearing Adidas Originals. The shoot took place in an abandoned 1970s swimming pool with cracked concrete, falling tiles, encroaching vegetation, and pervasive rust. The setting contrasts summer swimwear associations with decay and emptiness under a scorching sun. Credits include video/editing by Gabriela Kajpust, styling by Gabriela Kajpust and Kamil Ostrowski, and music by @nomidikrk. The photographer draws inspiration from 1980s–90s MTV and Fashion TV, Iggy Pop, neon colors, David Bowie, and Depeche Mode. Services offered include editorials, lookbooks, campaigns, polaroid sessions, and runway videos.
