25 Years of AnOther: What Went Down at the Anniversary Talk at Selfridges

A special conversation marked 25 years of AnOther Magazine with editor-in-chief Susannah Frankel and fashion director Katie Shillingford. The event took place in Selfridges cinema and bar, hosted by Jack Sunnucks, and covered the magazine’s history in fashion and culture through recollections, reflections, and behind-the-scenes stories. Each issue is built around a central theme such as Memory, Epic, or Monster, which collaborators translate into personalized visual and editorial narratives. The 50th issue used Kinship, focusing on family relationships and closeness, and featured returning cover stars Solange and Pamela Anderson. Covers also honored long-term relationships with designers including Chanel, Givenchy, Comme des Garçons, Gucci, and Prada. AnOther’s perspective centers on seeing with another point of view and challenging ideas beautifully, while documenting the times and exploring culture and context.
