"I think it's because of my father. Years before I was born, he started following Barcelona, and when Messi arrived, he fell in love with him. And when I was born, he always made me watch Messi and Barcelona's matches."
"My father always dreamed that my brother and I would play football, and there are more opportunities in Europe than in the Middle East. That was another reason why we moved as well."
"Playing for Barça has been a dream of mine since I was little. When I was a child, I watched Barça matches with my father. We've always been fans of the team. I'm very proud to be here. I worked very hard to get here and I've achieved it, but this is just the beginning."
Roony Bardghji, a young Swedish forward from a Syrian family, joined Barcelona last summer for €2 million from Copenhagen. His passion for Barcelona stems from his father, who became a devoted Lionel Messi fan before Bardghji was born and instilled this love in him from childhood. Born in Kuwait, Bardghji's family relocated to Sweden to provide better opportunities for their children to pursue football careers in Europe. Throughout his youth, he played for Copenhagen, Malmo, and Rodeby before achieving his childhood dream of joining Barcelona. Despite being a bit-part player this season, Bardghji remains excited about his future, viewing his current position as merely the beginning of his journey with the club.
