Pedri 9, Raphinha 9 | Barcelona 3-1 Atletico Madrid: Player Ratings | Barca Universal
"Joan Garcia: 8.5 The goalkeeper had yet another stellar game at the back for the Catalans, proving how important it is for a shotstopper to be comfortable with the ball at his feet in Hansi Flick's system. He often found himself in situations where Atletico Madrid were through on goal within little cover, but showed good reflex shot-stopping and did not hesitate to run out of his box and get to the ball first."
"Gerard Martin: 7.5 The youngster had yet another largely promising display at centre-back and did well not only in the buildup phase but in holding the offside trap. Was lucky not to be sent off late in the first half for a foul that looked extremely dangerous and possibly even a last-man foul. Came up with some clutch blocks after the break."
Barcelona won 3-1 against Atletico Madrid at the renovated Spotify Camp Nou. Atletico took an early lead, but Raphinha equalised soon after and Dani Olmo put Barcelona ahead in the second half. Barcelona created numerous chances but lacked clinical finishing before Ferran Torres secured the third goal late on. The victory gives Barcelona a provisional four-point lead over Real Madrid. Joan Garcia produced a standout performance in goal, Alejandro Balde impressed going forward though was exposed defensively at times, and Gerard Martin showed promise at centre-back while avoiding a potential red card. Player ratings included Garcia 8.5, Balde 8 and Martin 7.5.
