Official: Two Barcelona players named in FIFA The Best Men's XI for 2025 | Barca Universal
"FC Barcelona had a number of players in the running for FIFA The Best Footballer of the Year, such as Lamine Yamal and Raphinha in the Men's category, and Aitana Bonmati in the Women's category. While Aitana went on to secure the trophy, to complete a hat-trick, Lamine and Raphinha were beaten to the top prize by Ousmane Dembele, who also won the PSG. However, with The Best Men's 11 also being announced, two Barcelona stars made the cut for the team."
"Indeed, Lamine Yamal, who enjoyed an excellent 2024/25 campaign, was named in the team, along with Pedri, who was also an integral part of the side that won the domestic treble last term. Strangely, however, Raphinha did not make the team, with the Brazilian winger facing yet another snub after his fifth-place Ballon d'Or finish earlier this year. Ousmane Dembele, Vitinha, Nuno Mendes, Willian Pacho, Achraf Hakimi and Gianluigi Donnarumma"
FIFA's The Best Awards ceremony named the 2025 winners across categories. Ousmane Dembélé won FIFA The Best Men's Footballer, while Aitana Bonmatí secured the women's award for a third consecutive time. FC Barcelona had multiple nominees including Lamine Yamal, Raphinha and Aitana Bonmati. Lamine Yamal and Pedri were included in The Best Men's 11 after strong 2024/25 performances and contributing to Barcelona's domestic treble. Raphinha was omitted from the Men's 11 despite finishing fifth in the Ballon d'Or earlier in the year. The Best Men's 11 also featured PSG players Vitinha, Nuno Mendes, Willian Pacho, Achraf Hakimi and Gianluigi Donnarumma, Chelsea's Cole Palmer, Real Madrid's Jude Bellingham and Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk.
