"After completing a hat-trick of Ballon d'Or triumphs earlier this year, Barcelona Femeni superstar Aitana Bonmati has now won the Best FIFA Women's Player award for a third year in a row. The 27-year-old Spaniard has been the best women's footballer for a number of years now, and has continued to add to her success with the latest honour in the form of FIFA's The Best Women's Player prize."
"The 2024/25 season was once again a successful one for Barça Femeni as they won the Liga F, the Copa de la Reina, and the Spanish Super Copa, with Aitana at the centre of the success. She missed out on the Women's Champions League, while her Spain national team also stumbled in the finals of the Euros during the summer."
Aitana Bonmatí, 27, won FIFA's The Best Women's Player award for 2025, her third consecutive time. She also completed a hat-trick of Ballon d'Or triumphs earlier in the year. Barcelona Femeni won Liga F, Copa de la Reina and Spanish Super Copa in 2024/25 with Bonmatí central to their success. She and the team missed out on the Women's Champions League, and Spain lost in the Euros final. Bonmatí was named in FIFA's The Best Women's XI alongside teammates Ona Batlle, Alexia Putellas, Patri Guijarro, Claudia Pina and Irene Paredes. On the men's side, Ousmane Dembélé won Best Men's Player.
