"Earlier today, FIFA announced the list of nominees for the Puskás Award and the Marta Award, which recognise the best goals of the season in men's and women's football, respectively. And, the governing body has included Barcelona superstar Lamine Yamal's extraordinary goal against Espanyol in the last Catalan derby at Cornellà-El Prat among the 11 best of the past season."
"In that match, Lamine produced a moment of brilliance with a powerful long-range strike, beating his now teammate Joan Garcia. The Espanyol goalkeeper could do nothing to stop the perfectly placed and powerful shot from the young Barcelona forward as it nestled in the top corner. Lamine has already enjoyed a successful year in terms of individual honours, having won the Kopa Trophy and the AFE Player of the Year award, while finishing second in the Ballon d'Or rankings."
