Hugo Garces, aged 16, signed his first professional agreement with FC Barcelona and will continue with the club during his youth career. The renewal was completed in the presence of the Director of Youth Football, Jose Ramon Alexanco. Garces joined La Masia during his U-10 development stage and is regarded as one of the academy players with the greatest potential. He played for the Barça U-16 side and became a key figure this season. Under David Sanchez, the team won the league with 25 victories, two draws, and three defeats, finishing seven points ahead of Damm. Garces was also included in Spain’s U-17 squad for preparations ahead of the European Championships, though he will not play in the tournament.
