"FC Barcelona informs that, once the approval of phase 1C of the Spotify Camp Nou, corresponding to the North Goal, is obtained from the Barcelona City Council, the Club will allocate 100% of the increased capacity planned in this new stage of progressive opening of the Stadium to season ticket holders. The Club is awaiting final authorization from the City Council to activate phase 1C, an approval that is expected to be obtained as soon as possible, at the beginning of March."
"This weekend's game against Levante had been pencilled in as a possible date for the opening of the stand, which would see the capacity increase to 62,000+. However, delays in the City Council issuing the licence means Barcelona will have to wait until early March. This phase includes approximately 14,000 new seats, which will be allocated primarily to Barcelona supporters."
FC Barcelona expects Barcelona City Council approval to open the Gol Nord (North Goal) stand and increase Spotify Camp Nou capacity at the beginning of March. Once phase 1C is approved, the Club will allocate the full increase in capacity in this stage to season ticket holders. Initial expectations aimed for a January licence but the decision was delayed into February, pushing the opening back. A weekend fixture against Levante had been considered as a possible opening date that would raise capacity above 62,000. Phase 1C adds about 14,000 seats and season ticket prices are expected to range from €160 to €264 depending on location.
