Garcia staying open minded amid Barca interest
Briefly

Joan García of Espanyol is attracting attention from major clubs like Barcelona and Arsenal, with the latter previously interested in signing him. The 24-year-old goalkeeper has established himself in LaLiga and has a €25 million release clause. While Barcelona sees him as a long-term potential replacement for their current keeper Marc-André ter Stegen, García is weighing his options carefully, considering his long association with Espanyol and offers from Premier League clubs. He aims to secure a spot in Spain's squad for the upcoming World Cup while making a career decision.
"There's always news coming out in football and there are things out there [about me]," he told TV3 when asked if the possibility of signing for Barça existed.
"It is not always the case that what comes out corresponds with the reality. I am just staying calm and any decision which needs to be made I will think about with those close to me, picking the best option for me."
