Gaspart said mistakes are part of youth and that club captains and the manager should offer paternal guidance rather than players confronting him. Gaspart criticized Carvajal's reaction and questioned any requirement for an apology if comments were not aimed at him. He predicted the tension will dissipate and expected a handshake at the next national team meeting. Gaspart also urged that Yamal rest and recover if not fully fit and that Barcelona and coach Hansi Flick must look after him and help him regain fan support.
